The box is the beginning, not the end.

A box of fresh produce changes a week. Knowing what to do with it changes a household. Feed Uvalde pairs its weekly produce boxes with nutrition education taught by neighbors, for neighbors: cooking classes built around what’s actually in season in the gardens, growing skills people can take back to their own yards, and food-budget skills that make fresh food a habit instead of a splurge.

The goal is for the knowledge to stay in town. Classes are taught locally, recipes travel between kitchens, and every skill someone learns is one the community keeps. Families who want to invest in it can buy into a CSA-style share, supporting the system that feeds their neighbors while feeding themselves.

Nutrition programming launches in 2026 alongside the gardens and boxes. Sign up on the home page to hear when it starts.
